The Three Tiers of Cabinets
When you shop for new cabinets you'll run into three basic options: stock, semi-custom, and full custom. Stock cabinets come pre-built in fixed sizes and finishes — cheapest and fastest, but you're stuck with 3-inch increments and filler strips. Semi-custom gives you more sizes and finishes but is still built from a fixed catalog. Full custom, which is what we do, is built to your exact space with your choice of everything.
Where Stock Falls Short
In most Pharr kitchens, stock cabinets leave dead corners, awkward fillers, and wasted vertical space. The materials are usually particle board that doesn't survive a leak, and the finishes are limited. For a starter kitchen or a rental, that can be fine. For a home you plan to keep, it often means replacing again sooner than you'd like.
When Custom Pays Off
Custom shines when your kitchen is an unusual size, when you want specific storage, or when you simply want cabinets that last decades and look exactly right. Because we build to fit, you use every inch — and solid-wood construction means the kitchen still functions like new many years later.
